I'd planned to show you a finished spoolie today, but truthfully I ran out of gas when I got home. I brought dinner with me, so I changed out of my work duds while Handsome set up our dinner plates. I made salads to go with the rest of our meal, we ate, cleared dishes and I fell asleep in my chair before I could even begin my project.
A few hours later, Handsome asked me how it was coming along, knowing full well I haven't even touched it. We'd been in the same room all evening so he was just teasing me.
These are the materials I've pulled together for the next spoolie. Any guesses? It's been mentioned and was added to my list. One hint: the thread on the wooden spool is meant to represent water. I know it's green. Green river water. Leave a comment to see if you can guess what it's going to be.
Another work day today. sigh Once I get through this seven hours or so, I'll have off until Friday. yay! See you tomorrow!
I'm no good at guessing, I have no clue. LOL
ReplyDeletePlease get some rest after work today.

Hi Marilyn:
DeleteIt's quite alright. I'm actually in your camp. We'll see if anyone gets close. Today shall be a day of needlework.

Perhaps a frog?
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy:

A blue heron?? I dunno, but whatever it is, I know it's going to be cute.
ReplyDeleteHi MA:
DeleteAlso a good guess. I'll share it tomorrow. I had to rework because I'm not happy with the head shape.

Sherryofcreateology: My guess is a Puffin by the colors of the threads. I will be glad when your boss hires someone stable and reliable (with work ethics). Lovely day dear.
ReplyDeleteHi Sherry:
DeleteGood guess, dear, but not this time. No one will be more happy than me when that happens. She has a new cashier starting on the 20th, and I have a gal come in yesterday who wants kitchen hours (nights and weekends, which is exactly what we need). She's going to tell her kitchen co-workers, too. They all work for a local school, and their hours get cut during the summer. We're hoping that at least a couple work out so we can jetison the bad eggs here, and that they may decide to stay after the summer, too. That would be awesome. She's taking her application back to the station today. Fingers crossed!

I'm practically clueless on this, but I'm going to guess Otter. Just because I love otters; they are so whimsical.
ReplyDeleteHi Lois:
DeleteDING! DING! DING! I wish I had a prize for you! You hit the nail on the head. Now to see if it's recognizable as an otter once it's done. lol
