A Little Stitching...

I do have a little progress with my bluebird project to share with you today. I actually removed more of yesterday's stitching than I kept, but this is my bird in flight so far.

Imagine my dismay when I moved the floss bobbins to see this little, itty, bitty, pen mark on my fabric. grrrrrr I'll try removing it today, but if it won't come out without leaving a big stain, I'll stitch a bug over the ink. Even though I have a fix for it, I'm still not happy that it's there. Especially since I don't know how it magically appeared. When I'm not working on it, I always keep the hoop and embroidery covered to keep it clean. Oh, well. Water under the bridge. I'll deal with it once I know whether or not it can be safely removed.

I work today, so there'll be no needlework activity. Tomorrow is Craft Day. Whether or not I'll attend will be decided either late tonight or early tomorrow morning. Right this minute, I'm thinking I'll not be going, but we'll see how my work day goes. It's only two weeks yesterday that I had surgery, so I still get tired easily.

Either way, I'll have a new blog post for you in the morning. See you then!

  1. Oh, Donna! I think I would have cried (or howled like a mad man) upon finding that ink spot...I'm hoping it comes out easier than expected. Sigh. Hope you have a restful weekend!

    1. Hi Lois:
I'm going to try to remove it in a little while. I'll be very careful to make sure whatever I try doesn't make it spread. That's the last thing I want. Fingers crossed!

  2. The Bluebird is looking great.
We never know how those things mysteriously happen.
My husband must've dropped a Milk Dud on the chair, & i didn't see it & was walking around with a Milk Dud stuck to my butt! lol

    1. Hi Marilyn:
I had no idea there were gremlins in the farmhouse! (That's the only thing I can figure. lol) Dad and I had a shared thing about Milk Duds. Still makes me smile when I think about it. Now, I'll probably get some next time I work! (Thanks! lol) Your story is funnier!

  3. Ah the mysteries of life! They happen with great regularity here and sometimes we think we have a resident ghost. A bug is a great solution if you have to use it.

    1. Hi MA:
Exactly! Ghost or gremlin. I panicked for a minute when I realized it wasn't thread. I'll try removal today, and failing in that, I'll be designing a little bug for the spot. sigh
