There's a separate room that is separate from the main part of the downstairs. The boxes are carefully lined up, sitting on plywood to keep them off the ground (just in case). We don't have bookcases in the living space like we did in Florida, and I really miss having them readily accessible. I just know there are more treasures there that are forgotten. Of course, cleaning my studio always reveals something I "misplaced". I have to be careful not to put them away to be lost again. ugh. Fingers crossed. I hope you find that glitter! ;-)
xoxo
DonnaBrynwood Needleworkshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12025334306730418679noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5258439638299238385.post-2897871845705556632021-09-29T11:57:04.272-05:002021-09-29T11:57:04.272-05:00Nothing looks chaotic to me. Now if only I could find my antique salt and pepper containers filled with glitters. They have been MIA since we moved three lus years ago. Hubby never liked glitter so I have a suspicion they got trashed before the move. I get sidetracked, even when I recognize that it can happen, and I really try to avoid distractions.I frequently put something down in favor of something else, and then it takes me forever to find the first item again. It can take three times as long to finish my cleaning. Oh, and I LOVED "Up!"
Thanks for the note!
xoxo
DonnaBrynwood Needleworkshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12025334306730418679noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5258439638299238385.post-49437540373434495642021-09-28T00:05:50.540-05:002021-09-28T00:05:50.540-05:00Hi MA:

I'm going to have to force myself to be realistic about what I will or won't ever use, and then let the majority of it go. (I think I can. I think I can.) ;-)
You'd be surprised how often my spaces look like they do here. Hats off to those who can actually keep things tidy all the time. whew!
xoxo
DonnaBrynwood Needleworkshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12025334306730418679noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5258439638299238385.post-39670311507010398522021-09-27T23:57:17.935-05:002021-09-27T23:57:17.935-05:00Hi Mary:

The things I do for my online friends. Thank you, dear. I think my cabinets and such are like purses. The bigger they are, the more you put in them. eek! I'm not going to give up, though. I'll keep chipping away at this until I trim it down enough to turn my fabric room into a guest room. I'm committed to it!
xoxo
DonnaBrynwood Needleworkshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12025334306730418679noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5258439638299238385.post-16823591163164818672021-09-27T23:54:21.951-05:002021-09-27T23:54:21.951-05:00Hi Bonnie:

I remember packing us up to move out of Florida, and I was actually a little shock how many boxes it took.My friend, Kathy came to help me unpack those boxes, and said that I completely put her off the idea of ever moving. I know you'll have fun making your first quilt, and you'll be off and running from there! I've had this spool cabinet for decades. I used to have an antique tabletop desk, too. It had four drawers, and was also really cool.I'm kinda bummed that I sold it years ago.
Thanks for the note!
xoxo
DonnaBrynwood Needleworkshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12025334306730418679noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5258439638299238385.post-27519657209210985252021-09-27T09:07:14.089-05:002021-09-27T09:07:14.089-05:00LOL! I can so totally relate to jumping into a project like that and then getting slowed by considering other projects (like removing cabinets...) In our home we call it the "squirrel!" syndrome (think Doug from the movie, UP!) But it is such a wonderful feeling when all that is done and the creative juices are able to flow more freely! Keep up the good work!Lois Lanserhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02306701271029253586noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5258439638299238385.post-46435559557487872672021-09-27T07:49:25.103-05:002021-09-27T07:49:25.103-05:00Oh goodness - how I would love to come and fondle ...Oh goodness - how I would love to come and fondle those fabrics and threads!
