Please call someone to come remove your uninvited quest. They do come out of the water. My boy has seen along the side of the highway in Louisiana and they weren't in the water. Is this the first one that you have seen that close to your house? I don't like those I have had deer in my back yard close to the house that I could look out my kitchen window at them. Since they have built up all around us I don't see them near as much. Please, please get someone in there to escort him out and check for relatives. Are you completely fenced in? Chain link? You could electrify it to keep the pond gator free. I'm going to feel a lot better when you've had this guy taken away.
