You Could Enjoy Cotton Candy Year-'Round...

I'm pretty tickled with the look of my most recently completed quilt. I finished the last stitch on my "Cotton Candy" four-patch quilt on Tuesday evening, and I'm really happy with the results.
The quilt measures 99" wide by 93" long and was made using Benartex and Moda 100% cotton (quality) fabrics. I photographed it on our king-size bed, so you can see that it will fit a deep mattress king or a queen-size bed.

Kathy at Sandy's Quilt Shop did a fabulous job on the final assembly with decorative stitching for me. I chose a romantic meandering design that incorporated hearts. Look closely and you can see them! When she had completed with her work, I brought it back home and attached the binding to finish it. It took me approximately six hours just to hand sew the binding to the quilt, and I loved every minute spent in it's creation.

Now, I'm offering it for sale so someone else can enjoy "Cotton Candy" year-'round. This is a one-of-a-kind quilt. I won't be making another in these fabrics. Just go to my Brynwood Boutique to see more details. Time for me to start on our Anniversary Quilt, don't you think?

  7. You do not cease to amaze me. HOW do you make so many beautiful things so quickly?

When making quilts, do you think it's better to figure out how to quilt them yourself at home on a little machine, or send them off somewhere to be quilted? The "quilting" part always makes me hesitate to make a quilt.

I'd like to make some baby blankets (just simple ones to start, but maybe a more complicated and larger quilt for my son at some point) and am wondering how to approach the quilting aspect. It's not really that important to me to do it myself, I'd rather just have it look nice - but not pay an arm and a leg for that! Just curious on your thoughts. :)
